笔记

Wieder’s magisterial collection of reproductions of important maps in the history of Dutch cartography during the Age of Discovery: an essential reference work for those interested in the period. It includes maps and plans from the atlas of the collector Laurens van der Hem and the 1665 Vingboons manuscript atlas.

The author, Dr Friedrich Caspar Wieder (1874-1943) was an eminent cartographical scholar, and his work remains a rare and respected milestone in the field.
