George Houstoun, near the Mitre Tavern, Fleet Street 1751. ‘Manchester Magazine’, George Houstoun, corner of Mitre Tavern Passage 1755. Jackson’s ‘English Goldsmiths’ gives him as working in 1773. Chaffer’s ‘Gilda Aurifabrorum’ gives him in Fleet Street 1742-‘73”.
