Notes

Small plan showing Maastricht, Wick and the Fort St Pierre, oriented with East on top.

The focus of the plan is given to the city’s fortifications and gates; three out of six gates are named both in French and in German, the rest only in French. The environs around are finely represented: there are fields, woods and hills, and on top of the elevation on the right is Fort Saint Pierre, built in 1703.
