Forsstrand (1854–1928), a Swedish zoologist and librarian, accompanied Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld’s expedition to Greenland in 1883 and undertook a scientific research expedition to Bermuda, the USA and Canada in 1889 as a Vega Fellow. His record of his time in Bermuda is profusely illustrated and includes cultural as well as scientific observations.
