Notes

A scarce set of maps, apparently unrecorded, each one drawn and engraved to illustrate one of Walter Scott’s novels. There is no title, nor a list of contents, but the general map contains a list of those novels set in Scotland which are illustrated in the atlas. They are drawn by Aristide Michel Perrot and engraved by Pierre Tardieu. Perrot was best known for his sets of miniature maps of Great Britain and of France published earlier in the nineteenth century.
